Please read these terms carefully, and print and keep a copy of them for your reference.

Making a contract with me

When you place an order with me, you are making an offer to buy goods. I will send you an e­mail to confirm that I have received your order. Once I have checked the price and availability of the goods, I will e­mail you again to confirm that I accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us. I will not take payment from you until I have accepted your order. In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that I have made a pricing mistake, I will advise you of this. You will not receive an e­mail confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.

 

How to place order

To commission a portrait, use the 'contact me' form on this website or email georgina@thehorseartist.co.uk, to buy items add your chosen items to the basket and click the proceed to payment or checkout option. Follow the directions to pay by your chosen payment method.

 

Delivery

Charges for delivery of original artwork and commissioned artwork vary and will be discussed at the time of commission. All other items are sent by Royal Mail for delivery in the UK, or Parcel Force for International delivery.  In Stock Items will be dispatched within 1 working day. Commissioned artwork varies. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.

 

Cancellation and returns

Cancellation before artwork begins and a deposit has been paid.

  • If a client has paid a deposit on a commission and has not provided photographs or finalised details for the portrait to begin, I will hold the agreed portrait price for 12months until the client provides the information needed for a portrait to begin.
  • If a client has paid a deposit and work has begun, including initial sketches, layouts and roughs, the deposit will not be refunded and no further payment will be required.
  • Once I deem a portrait finished I will email a photograph of the artwork for the client to confirm that they are happy with finished image and are happy to have the portrait either framed or delivered, at this time the remainder of the portrait fee is due, plus the cost of framing if the client has chosen this option, and the cost of delivery.
  • If the client is not happy with the portrait once they have received it, I am happy to discuss options for dealing with the problem, but I do not offer a refund once the client has seen photographs of the finished portrait and have given the go ahead for delivery.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are non refundable. When redeeming the voucher the customer will be paying the current prices and not the price at the time purchase of the voucher. Vouchers can be redeemed up to 5 years from purchase, and a proof of purchase date will be required.

Damage in Transit

I always package my portraits securely but if a portrait arrives damaged, take a photo of the damaged packaging and portrait and email me immediately. We will then discuss if the portrait is salvagable or if you will need to return the damaged portrait to me. If I cannot repair the damage on the original portrait I will produce a new portrait for no cost (delivery charges and framing if applicable will still apply).

 

 

Artwork Displayed on this Website

I retain copyright of all artwork I produce and as such reserve the right to use my paintings and drawings for promotional material and display. I will not reproduce customer commissions for re-sale or allow the images to be used on products or merchandise for sale. If a customer does not want their commission to appear on my website please let me know at the time of the commission.

 

 


Changes to these terms

These terms were last changed on 18th January 2020. These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.
